Evacuation Chair

Are you recognised as the ‘responsible person’ on your premises? It is up to you to perform a fire risk assessment, create an emergency evacuation plan based on your findings and implement precautions accordingly. This includes providing a viable means of escape for people with a physical disability.

This course covers techniques to minimise the risk of injury from lifting, pushing, pulling or carrying, and reflects the requirements of the Manual Handling
Operations Regulations 2002.

It is recommended that all operators carry out training to ensure the Evacuation Chair is used in the correct and safe manner in cases of fire or other emergency situations.

We provide coverage throughout the UK giving technical and practical instruction to give operators of their device the confidence and ability to use the devices when needed.

Our evacuation chair training courses are valid for one to three years, after which we recommend that all delegates refresh their knowledge and practical experience.

Our course is designed to train delegates on-site how to safely and correctly use the evacuation device. Delegates will get hands-on experience in the operation and deployment of their own device to assist the safe evacuation of the mobility impaired.
